RightMark 3D Sound is an audio test tool to estimate the hardware and software capabilities of the direct sound compatible devices. This Sound Tester lets you pan sound around you with your mouse. Move the sound ball, and you'll feel the distance and direction of the sound change even with simple stereo speakers. It is a helpful tool to test and configure PC speakers and sound systems.

There are three tests included in this tool they are Positioning Accuracy test, CPU utilization test and the third one is data analyzer. The positioning accuracy test involves testing the audio source positioning quality. This requires listening to a user controlled moving sound source. The second test is conducted to test the CPU load for each of the audio device modes. This is done by synthetically emulating main cycle of a typical in game sound engine. The last test is done to get more information on the CPU load. This test excludes the random OS activities and also it provides both the average value and the dispersion.

As this software tool is taking care of the most wanted features for a common PC speaker and sound system it is a good tool for this kind of devices.
